Double-check that the Latest iOS Version has Been Installed

‍Amira performs best on an iPad with iOS 13 or higher. To install, make sure the iPad is plugged in and connected to the Internet. Then, follow these steps:

Go to Settings > General > Software Update

Tap Download and Install

Clear History or Enable Private Browsing

‍Safari is the only browser compatible with Amira on an iPad. Make sure the Safari browser is being used.

  1. Select the Settings icon on the home screen

  2. Find Safari within the menu options along the left side of the screen

  3. Select Clear History and Website Data > Clear

  4. If you prefer not to clear the iPad's history and website data, a private window within Safari could be used

    Tap the new page button

    Tap Private, then tap Done.

Always Allow the Microphone

To avoid access issues, we encourage you to enable the Safari browser to Always Allow use of the microphone. On iPads with iOS 13 or higher, adjust the System Preferences to recognize the device’s internal microphone.

  1. Scroll down to Settings for Websites and tap Microphone

  2. Choose Allow to allow the use of the microphone without permission every time you visit a website
