District and/or school leaders can auto-assign the Dyslexia Screener and/or Benchmark Assessment.

This feature ensures that all students who have not completed a Dyslexia Screener and/or Benchmark Assessment get to completion. This feature is an alternative to having teachers assign students the assessment via the Tracking Report.

STEP 1: Auto-Assign the Dyslexia Screener and/or Benchmark Assessment

Follow the steps below to modify when students are "forced" to take the Dyslexia Screener and/or Benchmark Assessment if they have not yet completed it.

  1. Log into https://www.amiratutor.com with a District-level Amira Admin account

  2. Click the ENABLE BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT tile

STEP 2: Select a Date Range

  1. From the ENABLE BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT page, you can modify the current assessment window (see default windows listed on the right of the screen)

    NOTE: Without setting up the customized windows, teachers must manually assign student assessments via the Tracking Report in order for students to be presented with the assessment upon login

  2. Click Setup screening window for benchmark assessment to select the date range and auto-assign assessments to students

STEP 3: Edit the Date Range of the Current Window

  1. Click on the dates above the calendar view to set up the mass-assignment of the assessment for your students

  2. You can also click on the calendar dates themselves to adjust the date range

  3. The dates will automatically save

NOTE: There is a unique version (or "form") of the Dyslexia Screener and/or Benchmark Assessment for each of the Fall, Winter, and Spring window dates listed in the top right corner of your screen. Make sure your customized date range does not cross-over the available window dates (notated at the top of the page).

NOTE: If you are using Progress Monitoring, you will need to pre-set the district-wide benchmark assessment before each of the above static testing windows opens. For more information, see How do I plan for progress monitoring?

NOTE: Enabling this feature eliminates the need for teachers to go to the Tracking Report and assign the assessment to their students. However, teachers will not see anything change in their view on the Tracking Report. In other words, students will remain in the same Assignment Status as they were in before the window begins.

STEP 4: Once Students Finish Assessing, Set Your Next Window

Once students have completed the current window assessments, district administrators will want to set the next window. For example, if students have completed the Fall (BOY) benchmark, the date range in the mass-assign portal for the Winter (MOY) benchmark will need to be changed. Essentially, repeat Step 3 of this article, and -- 🎻 voila -- the window is set.
